Dried Fruit Sangria

Spice up your winter with this fruity sangria


6 Safari dried apricots - cut into slivers
125 ml dried cranberries
125 ml Safari raisins
80 ml brandy
100 - 125 ml sugar
750 ml merlot
300 ml ginger ale
orange and lemon slices for serving
ice for serving


Place the dried fruit, brandy and sugar in a pot and slowly heat so that the sugar can melt. Add the merlot and allow to cool. just before serving, add the ginger ale and serve in chilled glasses with ice,slices of lemon and orange.

Makes 1.5 liter
