SAFARI 'Health Nut' Bread

Ingredients
- 250 ml SAFARI Seedless Raisins
- 100 ml SAFARI Pecan nuts, coarsely chopped
- 100 ml SASKO cake flour
- 500 ml whole-wheat flour
- 200 ml rolled wheat
- 1 ml salt
- 8 ml bicarbonate of soda
- 50 ml brown sugar
- 100 ml sunflower seeds, lightly roasted
- 1 egg
- 1 grated green apple
- 500 ml Bulgarian yoghurt or buttermilk
- 30 ml sesame or linseed
Method
- Pre-heat oven to 180° C.
- Mix all dry ingredients, raisins, seeds and nuts well together.
- Beat egg and mix with grated apple and yoghurt. Stir into dry ingredients and mix well.
- Pour into greased bread pan and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
- Bake for 1.5 - 2 hours until done.
